This Privacy Notice applies to the processing by Recticel Group of all personal data of visitors to the Recticel Insulation Boards websites or social media channels.

We are Recticel Group, a corporate group with headquarters in Belgium. Which personal data do we collect and how do we use it?
Personal data is all information relating to you on the basis of which you may be identified or may be identifiable. Anonymous data, without possibility to identify you, are not considered as personal data.

Via the contact form on our websites: the professional category you belong to, the product and application you have questions on, other specific project information, your message, your name and surname, your email address, your telephone number (optional) and your postal code. These personal data are mandatory for you to provide in order for us to be able to get in touch with you. We only process these personal data to get in touch with you, upon your request. By submitting such request via our contact form, you have consented to us contacting you by using the personal data provided.

When subscribing to one of our newsletters: your name and surname, your email address and the category you belong to. By providing us with your email address when registering for one of our newsletters, you consent to receiving email messages relating to our activities for the indicated purpose. We do not use your personal data for any other purpose. When you receive such email messages you will always have the possibility to unsubscribe by using the unsubscribe-button provided in the respective newsletter or by sending an email to privacy.insulation@recticel.com.

When posting something on our social media accounts (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube) or using these accounts to send us a direct message: your profile name, your profile picture and any data that you send to us in your post or message. By posting or sending your personal data to us, your provide your consent for us to use such personal data to contact you or react to your message or request. We do not use such information for any other purpose. You have the right to withdraw such consent at all times by sending an email to privacy.insulation@recticel.com.

When using our online calculators or configurators: your name and surname, your email address and specific project information. By providing us with your email address, you consent to receiving the calculation or configuration documents by email. This email address may also allow you to log on to our website to consult previous calculations or configurations that have been made by you. When you receive an email from us, you will always have the possibility to unsubscribe by using the unsubscribe-button provided in the respective email or by sending an email to privacy.insulation@recticel.com.
We only process abovementioned personal data when you have specifically provided your personal data to us through our website or social media channels. You can always visit our website without providing these personal data.
On our website we also make use of cookies and social media buttons, primarily to optimise your experience on the website. With whom do we share your personal data?
Your personal data may be shared internally within the company or with another Recticel Group company if necessary for the purposes or processing as mentioned above.
Your personal data may also be shared with external service providers that we use to conduct some internal or external tasks for us which may involve your personal data (e.g. external IT providers, cloud storage providers, digital marketing partners, website partners or other service providers and professional advisors, etc.). Such service providers only act as data processors for us and we will enter into the necessary data processing agreements with these service providers to ensure your personal data remains adequately protected by them and they can only act on our explicit instruction.
Aside from this, we do not transfer any personal data to third parties, unless we are obliged to do so based on mandatory legal provisions (e.g. disclosure to external bodies, such as supervisory or law enforcement bodies and/or parts of the administration) and/or as a result of a court or government order. We may also transfer your personal data after having obtained your consent to do so.

Are your personal data transferred abroad?
We try to limit transfer of your personal data outside the EEA as much as possible.
Insofar as transfers outside the EEA would be necessary – directly or indirectly via a data processor –, we will always take appropriate measures to ensure that your personal data are duly protected and that all transfers of personal data outside the EEA take place in a lawful manner (e.g. by having the recipient sign a copy of the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission or by asking your explicit consent to be able to do so).

How long do we keep your personal data?
We do not keep your personal data any longer than necessary to achieve the intended purpose for which your personal data are collected.
Personal data collected via our website or social media accounts will be stored until your specific request has been fully handled. However, information you post on our social media accounts will in principle stay on the respective social media account until you have deleted it.
Personal data processed based on your consent will be deleted by us as soon as your consent has been withdrawn, unless we have another processing ground that allows us to further process such personal. Where you have not withdrawn your consent, we will delete your personal data after two years, provided that at that time you have not engaged with us in a period of at least one year.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, we may not be able to delete certain personal data if there is a legal retention obligation to keep such personal data, if a statute of limitation is still applicable or if we need this personal data in the context of a legal claim.

We have taken all reasonable and adequate technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data as best as possible against accidental or intentional manipulation, modification, publication, loss, abuse, destruction or access by unauthorised persons.
