The layout and placement of tapered insulation boards on a low-slope roof require advance planning. We offer a fast design service that enables the delivery of a pre-designed, dimensionally accurate, and customised solution to the construction site, complete with detailed layout drawings.

Why should roof slopes on low-slope roofs be created using PIR tapered insulation?

Roof slopes created with Recticel PIR tapered insulation are precise and consistent in quality. In addition, the insulation wedges are quick to install. Creating slopes with PIR tapered insulation does not significantly increase the self-weight of the structure, and installations can also be carried out during winter. The insulation wedges are also ideally suited for forming reverse slopes, correcting slopes on existing roofs, and improving drainage during roof renovation projects.

What information do we need for the design?

A clear quotation, smooth delivery, and detailed installation instructions improve efficiency and help keep the project on schedule. To prepare a detailed and dimensionally accurate design, we require the following basic information about the roofing project:

• Roof plan drawing showing the area where slopes will be created using tapered insulation
• Roof slope, e.g. 1:60
• Any existing slopes in the roof deck structure and their directions
• Exact locations of roof drains
• Project information such as project phase, schedule, and required delivery date
• Other additional information

Structure details, including target U-value:

• Type of roof structure
• Maximum and minimum thickness of the insulation layer

Preparing a preliminary quotation and using the design service is faster if the project’s base data is available in DWG format. Preparing detailed plans typically takes 3–7 working days.
